Night in the Venus Forest

29|08|2026 Lovelab Dreamspace, Pappelallee 25, 10437 Berlin

On the Alchemy of Empathy

We live in the age of anger. Night in the Venus Forest invites us to explore alternatives: How do anger and pain transform into connection and creativity? The Lovelab becomes a test laboratory for empathy with ceremonial cacao & prosecco on ice. With music & art by Saskia Baumgart, Lavanya Honeyseeda & Tim Ra and a film by Stefanie Müller.

We have built a global machine that drives hate. Outrage has become a commodity, attention its currency. The mechanisms run almost on their own: derision, contempt, and retribution: the division of the world into us and them. Its fuel: our time and our most destructive energies.

Beneath that lies something deeper: a pain that has never found a place. Instead of being felt, it is passed on. Retribution is the quickest way to get rid of it – and the surest way to multiply it.

Night in the Venus Forest is a moment of reflection. Not a program against hate. But an evening where pain is given space without immediately turning into anger, and where it can transform: into sound, into images, into encounters, into laughter.

In the Venus forest, the god of war finds rest while Venus watches. The satyrs take his weapons and make toys out of them. What loses its seriousness loses its power.

To kick things off, the Venus forest fills with scents and sounds of love. Alongside this, sparkling wine on ice and ceremonial cacao are served. The raised glass is the counterpart to the raised weapon.

Stefanie Müller's documentary about the World Peace Conference shows peace for what it is: lived encounter – with other people and with one's own shadows. The resulting space fills the Sasperella la Sirène with sacred ambient sounds.

Now Tim Ra speaks with Lavanya Honeyseeda as the extraterrestrial peace ambassador Lakhura, and with Saskia Baumgart, co-initiator of the 2024 World Peace Conference, who replaced powerlessness with the power of encounter.

For the first time, Tim Ra's psychedelic Venuswald-Collagen and Lavanya Honeyseedas mystical Dream-Assemblages – visual worlds that open up spaces of consciousness and give physical form to the dream of peace. Both tell the same story: The world is not made of adversaries, but of relationships. And within each of us lives a wilderness that remembers our elemental connectedness. Lavanya Honeyseeda and Ra musically continue these thoughts in their reggae performance accompanied by scents and sounds. Rooted in a tradition that stands for solidarity, dignity, and the overcoming of borders, reggae here becomes an invitation not only to contemplate peace, but to experience it together.

To conclude, Saskia Baumgart returns as Sasperella la Sirène. The evening ends as it began: in the sound of love.
