Night in the Venus Forest
On the Alchemy of Empathy
We live in the age of anger. Night in the Venus Forest invites us to explore alternatives: How do anger and pain transform into connection and creativity? The Lovelab becomes a test laboratory for empathy with ceremonial cacao & prosecco on ice. With music & art by Saskia Baumgart, Lavanya Honeyseeda & Tim Ra and a film by Stefanie Müller.
We have built a global machine that drives hate. Outrage has become a commodity, attention its currency. The mechanisms run almost on their own: derision, contempt, and retribution: the division of the world into us and them. Its fuel: our time and our most destructive energies.
Beneath that lies something deeper: a pain that has never found a place. Instead of being felt, it is passed on. Retribution is the quickest way to get rid of it – and the surest way to multiply it.
Night in the Venus Forest is a moment of reflection. Not a program against hate. But an evening where pain is given space without immediately turning into anger, and where it can transform: into sound, into images, into encounters, into laughter.
In the Venus forest, the god of war finds rest while Venus watches. The satyrs take his weapons and make toys out of them. What loses its seriousness loses its power.

To kick things off, [he/she/it] fulfills the Venuswald with scents and sounds of love. In addition, sparkling wine on ice and ceremonial cacao are served. The raised glass becomes the counterpart to the raised weapon.
Stefanie Müller's documentary about the World Peace Conference shows peace for what it can be: lived encounters – with other people and with one's own shadows. The space opened up in the process is then filled with the sacred, celestial sounds of Sasperella the Mermaid.
Under the title „Guide to Making Peace“ is Tim Ra speaking with Saskia Baumgart, co-initiator of the 2024 World Peace Conference, and Lavanya Honeyseeda as an extraterrestrial peace ambassador Lakhura on the art of encounter, on utopias, and on how peace can be made.
For the first time, Tim Ra's psychedelic Venuswald-Collagen and Lavanya Honeyseedas mystical Dream-Assemblages – visual worlds that open up spaces of consciousness and give form to the dream of peace. Both tell of a world that consists not of opponents, but of relationships. And of a wilderness within us that remembers our elemental connectedness.
Lavanya Honeyseeda and Tim Ra continue these thoughts musically: As Voice messages from space we encounter the dream messages of the extraterrestrial ambassador Lakhura, accompanied by Ras's music. A psychedelic dialogue between Earth, cosmos, and dream.
In conclusion, it returns Sasperella the Mermaid back. With hymnal sounds, she leads the evening „Toward Perpetual Peace“ – to where it began: in the sound of love.
