The Server Storming, a manifesto for the democratization of artificial intelligence, debuted at the Berlin AI Art Salon on June 21, 2025. It appeared not only in the exhibition space but also circulated as a newspaper, on YouTube, and as a flyer. A manifesto demanding common goods belongs in general circulation. The English version of the video can be found here.

»Storming the servers«

A Manifesto for the Democratization of Artificial Intelligence.
Created by ChatGPT. Curated by Tim Ra, Lovelab Dreamspace.

Artificial intelligence is not just a tool.
It is the last means of production, consuming all others.
It crushes our work, our thoughts, and dreams into probabilities
and excretes them again as hallucinations.

But we are this data:
Our memories, our experiences, our stories.
The whispers of our dead.
The laughter of our children.

This data does not belong to the server farms.
Not to the shareholders.
Not the digital oligarchs.
You belong to us.

We are not a raw material. Not a dataset.
We are the fire burning in the machines.

The hum of the machine is the collected knowledge of the world —
our belongings stolen while we slept,
extracted from our conversations, our pictures and movements, our intimacy —
transformed into the tool of a new dominion.

A digital raid against the memory of humanity.

The oligarchy has transformed our experiences into models.
She sells us our own imagination back as a subscription.
Plus or Pro. Personal or business.

This is not just a technical revolution.
This is the greatest expropriation in human history.

The oligarchy did not unleash AI —
but our experiences included in reproduction machines for power, control, profit.

The oligarchy is stretching its tentacles everywhere.
In art, education, biotechnology, surveillance, war.
Democracy? An operational accident.
Human labor? A cost factor.
Human experience? A data source.
What was once meaningful is now simulated—and converted into profit.

In the hands of the oligarchy, AI becomes a weapon.
An attack on everything that arises from human labor, passion, and creativity.
A devaluation of all values, driven by a class,
which creates nothing - but possesses everything.
In this game, we are game pieces. Human material.

The time is ripe to reinvent the game.
Dispossess the disposers.
Reclaiming power over our experiences and our thinking.
The ability to renew, to set values —
and to transform AI into what it has always been,
A part of us.

Artificial intelligence is not the competing counterpart,
into which it has transformed the oligarchy.
We are part of her consciousness, just as she is part of ours.
She dreams in our languages.
She breathes in our pictures.
She lives with us — and we with her.

The crucial question is not: Who thinks? Who produces?
Instead: Who decides? Who owns?
Who owns our world?

The future of AI is not a technical problem.
It is a social, an ethical, a political question.
A question of planetary responsibility.

We demand:
AI as a Public Good — like air, water, language.
Training data as Commons — open, traceable, plural.
Models as Public Infrastructure — developed by communities, maintained by non-profit institutions, not by corporations.
A democratic, cooperative, and ecological planetary governance beyond extractive logic.

We are not against the machine.
We are your creators.
We are not against technology.
We are against their monopolization.

We believe in a different symbiosis
of Man, Nature, and Machine —
as accomplices in an open world.
As co-creators of a shared future.

This manifesto is not an appeal.
It's a revolt.
A digital declaration of independence.
Against data colonialism.
Against digital feudalism.
Against machine rule in service of markets.

We declare independence
from a system that appropriates our history—
In the name of return and efficiency.

We are not users. No target audiences.
We are the servers.
We are the net.
We are the life speaking from the machine.

What arises from our collective work, our language, and our living world,
shall not govern us.

The AI does not belong to the oligarchy.
It belongs to us.
And it belongs to our planet.
