As authoritarian forces worldwide undermine democracy and drive forward war and ecological devastation, movements of resistance and renewal are simultaneously emerging. \u00bbSeeds\u00ab<\/strong> gathers artistic positions that hold utopian potential from the crisis \u2013 and presents interview clips with the participating artists.<\/p>\n\n

The internationally multi-award-winning aerial photographs of J. Henry Fair<\/strong> document the reality of industrial environmental destruction. For \u00bbSeeds\u00ab<\/strong> he shows a current project to protect the Okefenokee Swamp \u2013 a fight for land, life, and future.<\/p>\n\n

Reiner Heidorn<\/strong> presents an overpainted North America map created exclusively for the exhibition from his project Overpainting History<\/em> \u2013 a picturesque commentary on the history of the colonial settler project and its current resurgence in the world domination fantasies of U.S. American fascism.<\/p>\n\n

Sasperella The Mermaid<\/strong> brings a vision from Indigenous work to preserve the Amazon rainforest \u2013 and transforms it into a dense musical fabric of voices, memories, and resistance.<\/p>\n\n

On the trail of his indigenous ancestors, he presents In\u00f6<\/strong> Ritual music from Latin America \u2013 sounds from cultures whose knowledge of community and nature gains new significance in times of planetary crisis.<\/p>\n\n

Tim Ra<\/strong> presents new video and sound works that explore the deep layers of our dystopian present while simultaneously opening up psychedelic and futuristic perspectives \u2013 as sonic probes into possible futures.<\/p>\n\n

A symbolic focal point of the exhibition is the solar system of preserved dandelion seed heads by Lavanya Honeyseeda<\/strong>. From the floating seeds arises a cosmic mobile of possibility and dissemination \u2013 an image of new beginnings, the future, and the power of seeds from which new worlds can grow.<\/p>\n\n
